I grew up in rural Maine. No, I did not live next to Stephen King, yes the lobstah is delicious, and if you're ever in the area, I highly recommend visiting Reed State Park or the Blue Hill Peninsula & Deer Isle. I'm also a first generation college grad.
Outside of research I do a lot of arts and crafts and reading (you can check out my reading list here). My favorite authors are Murray Bookchin, Stephen Jay Gould, and Margaret Atwood. Some of my favorite philosophical questions relate to phenomenology and how experience changes the objectivity of interpretive structures -- animal ethics has also recently fascinated me.
Outside of reading, I'm also an active naturalist and birder with a soft-spot for corvids, vultures, and shorebirds.
