I grew up in rural Maine. No, I did not live next to Stephen King, yes the lobstah is delicious, and if you're ever in the area, I highly recommend visiting Reed State Park or the Blue Hill Peninsula & Deer Isle. I'm also a first generation college grad and navigated the entire college process by myself -- if you or anyone you know needs help with their application, please feel free to send me an email.
Outside of research I do a lot of arts and crafts and reading (you can check out my reading list here). I'm also an active naturalist and birder with a soft-spot for corvids, vultures, nuthatches, and shorebirds.
